Social functions

Three functions will be held as part of the conference.

Government House reception

His Excellency, The Honourable Peter Underwood, AC, Governor of Tasmania, and Mrs Underwood will host a reception for delegates at Government House to mark the conference. Tasmania’s Government House is regarded as one of the best Vice-Regal residences in the Commonwealth and is one of the largest in Australia. Invitations for the Reception are issued by Government House. There is a limit to the number Government House can accommodate, and delegates who register early will be given preference.

Date: Monday 24 June

Time: 6pm–7pm

Venue: Government House

Dress: Jacket and tie/cocktail dress

Transport: Coaches depart at 5:30pm from the University of Tasmania

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will be held on Tuesday 25 June, from 6:30pm, at the Hobart Function and Conference Centre, Elizabeth St Pier, Hobart.

The dinner is all-inclusive, with a full buffet including: roast meats, Tasmanian salmon, a selection of hot dishes, salads, vegetables, breads, vegetarian options, and a range of desserts. All drinks (wine, sparkling wine, beer, juice and soft drinks) are also included for the duration of the event.

Tickets are available to purchase for delegates and guests at $100 per head, via the online registration system.

End of conference drinks

From 6pm to 7pm on Wednesday 26 June, end of conference drinks will be held in the foyer of the Stanley Burbury Theatre. This function is included in all full conference registrations.
