Program and workshops details available

The program outline and workshop details and schedule are now available.

After a fantastic response to the call for abstracts, the committee has developed a conference program that will accommodate some 100 talks in 10 themes. Fourteen post-conference workshops will canvas topics including science leadership, science communication, science under the ice and science into policy. About 100 posters will also be on display during the week.

Among the highlights of the conference will be eight keynote presentations from:

  • Professor Gary Wilson, New Zealand Antarctic Research Institute
  • Professor Steven Chown, Monash University
  • Professor Tim Naish, Victoria University of Wellington
  • Mr Jason Mundy, Australian Antarctic Division
  • Dr Neil Gilbert, Antarctica New Zealand
  • Ms Lyndal Byford, Australian Science Media Centre
  • Dr Ian Allison, Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC
Earlybird registration has been extended to 5 June 2013.
