Call for abstracts
Invitation to participate
Authors are invited to submit abstracts for possible inclusion in the conference program under the overarching theme of "Strategic Science in Antarctica". The Conference Committee is particularly seeking submissions that highlight science which has informed and or influenced management and policy initiatives on a regional or global scale. Submissions that identify opportunities for greater integration of research efforts across disciplines, between different groups and institutions are also welcome.
Presenters are encouraged to explore how the assimilation of research, policy and operational priorities can influence Antarctic science and to highlight the role science plays (now and into the future) in informing and evaluating the successful environmental management and biodiversity conservation in Antarctica, the Southern Ocean and beyond.
We are particularly interested in presentations that fall within one of the following sub-themes.
- Physical Change and Global Connections
- Marine ecosystems
- Land and Coastal Marine
- Data Management
- Frontier Science
- Science Communication
Abstracts have a 250 word limit and are due by 19 April 2013. All abstracts are to be submitted electronically via the Online Portal.
