Accommodation

Rooms have been reserved for delegates at the hotels below and can be booked when registering. All rates are per room, per night and do not include breakfast, unless otherwise specified. If you have any questions or require alternative arrangements please email Conference Design.

Accommodation bookings

You will need to provide credit card details when booking accommodation. Your credit card details will be forwarded to the hotel to guarantee your booking. In the event of a cancellation or a 'no show' a cancellation fee may be charged to your card by the hotel.

Accommodation accounts

You will need to settle your hotel account, including any incidental expenses, when checking out.

Accommodation cancellation

Cancellations must be advised in writing to Conference Design at least 30 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations received within 30 days of arrival or 'no-shows' will attract a penalty of at least one night’s accommodation.

Wrest Point Hotel and Casino

429 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay – 10 minute walk to venue

Right on the River Derwent, Wrest Point Hotel and Casino provides a variety of restaurants, cafes and lounge bars throughout the complex. Complimentary recreational facilities provided include an indoor health club with a heated pool, spa, sauna and gym; outdoor tennis and mini golf. There is a masseuse, broadband access and parking.

Motel 429

410 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay – 12 minute walk to venue

Motel 429 overlooks the picturesque River Derwent. Wrest Point Hotel and Casino is directly across the road. The Motel is just minutes away from the University of Tasmania, the Derwent Sailing Club and the Sandy Bay Yacht Club.

The Old Woolstore

1 Macquarie Street, Hobart – 45 minute walk to venue (or public transport available)

The Old Woolstore provides restaurant, bar, business centre, fitness room, internet access and parking. The studio apartments feature a kitchenette, and some rooms have a small balcony. Complimentary pass to the pool at the nearby Hobart Aquatic Centre is available.

Grosvenor Court Apartments

42 Grosvenor Street, Sandy Bay – 10 minute walk to venue

Grosvenor Court Apartments feature blackwood furniture and are fully self-contained. There is a barbeque area, DVD library, guest laundry, internet access and parking. Breakfast is available.

Travelodge Hobart

(Previously Leisure Inn Hobart Macquarie)

167 Macquarie Street, Hobart – 30 minute walk to venue (or public transport available)

The hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment, revealing a modern and contemporary new look. New features include 32" LCD TVs with free Austar, new kitchenettes with microwaves (except Express Rooms), in-room controlled heating and plush quality furnishings. Free broadband internet is provided, and hotel facilities include onsite restaurant, undercover parking, business services, guest laundry, dry cleaning service, luggage storage and tour booking expertise.
